                             Careers in cinema

Cinema has always been a field of creativeness, hard work, talent and clever stratagems. Most of which our students already have in-built in them. Thus It became necessary to organize a work shop on ‘careers in cinema’ where Dr. Tommy Joseph, director, Kalabhavan Media Academy, Ernakulam was the key speaker on December 1st.

Production of uplifting short films

Our students remind us again and again constantly on how talented they are and how much they can handle on their own… Two short films named ‘other side’ and ‘online’ were produced by the third year and second year students respectively.
Academic week celebration

The students have always looked upto someone offbeat and atypical…someone whose energy is contagious. R.J Neena has met their expectations.  A talk on ‘increasing popularity of FM radios in Kerala’ was arranged. R.J Neena, a popular radio Jockey and our alumna handled the session on December 15.

Academic week celebration

It was a prestigious moment for the students to meet and interact with the radio veteran
and legend Mr.Balakrishnan (Balettan), Radio Presenter, All India Radio, Cochin. A talk
was arranged on ‘the advertising scenario in India’as part of the academic week
celebrations which was held by him on December 15.

Bliss on Wheels

Honoring a good deed is honoring God himself. Students should always keep in mind to appreciate good deeds and to be thankful when help is received. In association with The Department of English and Tourism Club, we organized a program 'BLISS ON WHEELS' to honor the Autorikshaw drivers on January 7th
Kerala Piravi celebration

As we all know…a healthy environment always helps to create a healthy mind. It takes a lot of effort to clean our environment these days…with all the plastic and toxic wastes that people go on just dumping wherever possible. In association with the Department of English, we honored the workers of the department of Health Standing Committee of Aluva Municipality as part of ‘Kerala Piravi day’ celebrations. Honoring them is our responsibility.

Mission Periyar

When we are defiling our water resources, it actually means we are defiling ourselves along with our eco system. Students of Communicative English attended a talk on the pollution of Periyar which enlightened the students of the harsh reality of the risk that we all face nowadays.

Xav Virtuoso 2k16

Every knowledge and every lesson is instilled upon us right from infantry…except something as unique as your talent and creativeness, which comes from within you, like an instinct. Xav Virtuoso makes an effort to hunt the hidden talents in students. Logo of the inter collegiate fest Xav Virtuoso 2k16 was unveiled by Honey rose on June 18, 2016.

Padam Onnu: Oru Kai Sahayam

As saying goes…"the hands that help are holier than the lips that pray…" The Communicative English students and teachers took part in the Club FM initiative “Padam Onnu: Oru Kai Sahayam”. In association with Club FM the department we donated study materials like notebooks, pencil boxes, water bottles, instrument boxes etc to tribal students.
